A close reading presentation that I did with two of my classmates on Krauss “Sculpture in the Expanded field.” I had to work with my classmates to identify the main topic in the reading and then lead a class discussing the said topic while also helping to lead in discussion questions. One discussion question not listed on the slides is in relation to “The Spiral Jetty” where I asked Where you would stand when walking along the earthwork. We as a collective led a meaningful discussion that lasted almost the entire class period.
A close reading that I had to do by myself on Nika Elder “Lorna Simpson’s Fabricated Truths.” Throughout the paper I discuss the argument that Elder brought up and the evidence she uses to present this argument. I talk my own understanding of Lorna Simpson’s works and the reason why I am in a neutral position to what Elder says in her paper.
